Bárbara Hayes

BARBARA HAYES : Actriz, bailarina, coreógrafa y docente. Nació en Buenos Aires en el año 1975. Comenzó sus estudios de Danza Clásica y Danza Jazz a los 11 años en el Estudio de Nelly y Gabriela Pucci. Allí comenzó a dar clases a los 17 años, tarea que continuó durante seis años. Paralelamente trabajó como coreógrafa y docente en diferentes instituciones y compañías ( St. Mark´s School, St. George´s College North, Acting Troupe). Amplió sus conocimientos de danza realizando cursos y talleres de Tango, Flamenco, Lyrical Jazz, Folclore, entre otros.

En el año ´91, a los 15 años, comenzó sus estudios como actriz con Daniel Casablanca. A los 17 se incorporó a la compañía Kumis Teatro para la puesta de Antígona, de Sófocles, dirigida por José María López, que se estrenó en el Centro Cultural Recoleta y con la que recorrió varios festivales.. En Kumis siguió trabajando durante 15 años, formando parte del grupo-laboratorio de Investigación sobre el Trabajo del Actor que López formó en el año 2000.

Habiendo participado como bailarina, actriz y cantante en varios espectáculos musicales ( Parque de la Costa, Teatro Stella Maris, Alparamis, Centro Cultural Adán Buenosayres), decide hacer un alto en el año 2003 para dedicarse de lleno a la maternidad. Luego retoma su entrenamiento con López y comienza a estudiar con el Maestro Alfredo Gúrquel (Elongación a través de Biomecánica), con quien continúa hasta hoy.

Born in Bs.As. in 1975, she commenced her studies in classic and jazz dances at the age of 11, at the Nelly & Gabriela Pucci Institute, where she later became a teacher at the age of 17, for a period of six years. At the same time, she worked as a choreographer and teacher in several schools and companies (St. Mark´s School, St. George´s College North, Acting Troupe). She expanded her knowledge further by attending courses and workshops of Tango, Flamenco, Lyrical Jazz, Folklore, among others.

In 1991, she began to study acting with Daniel Casablanca. At the age of 17, she joined Kumis Teatro and took part in Sofocles’Antigone, directed by José María López, which opened at the Centro Cultural Recoleta, and particpated in various festivals. She stayed in Kumis for 15 years, and was part of a laboratory group formed by López in 2000, that investigated the Work of the Actor.

Having taken part as a dancer, actress and singer in many musical shows (Parque de la Costa, Teatro Stella Maris, Alparamis, Centro Cultural Adán Buenosayres), she decides to pause in 2003 in order to become a full-time mother. Later, she picks up training again with López, and begins to study with Professor Alfredo Gúrquel (Elongation through Biomechanics), where she continues to this day.
